Specific Eligibility Requirements:

Willingness to invest at least £ 2 million in the UK

Your funds must be: Held in one or more regulated financial institutions; Should be free to spend or ‘disposable’ in the UK; At the time of applying your funds can be in the UK or Overseas; Your money can be in the UK or overseas when you apply

Conditions of fund ownership: How much money you have and where it’s being held; Where the money came from if you have held the funds for less than 2 years; Money should be able to be transferred to the UK and converted to GBP

If it is your partners money: Provide proof of relationship, such as, certificate of marriage; Statement regarding your control of your partners’ fund; Letter from a legal adviser confirming above declaration

Other Details:

Your dependants may be eligible to join you while you hold this visa (conditions apply)

With this visa you can:

• Work or study
• Apply to settle after 2 years if you invest £10 million; after 3 years if you invest £5 million; and after 5 years if you invest £2 million

You cannot:

• Work as a professional sportsperson or sports coach
• Gain access to public funds
• Work as a doctor or dentist in training (unless you meet certain conditions)

Duration and Application:

• You can apply for this visa up to 3 months before you are due to travel
• The visa is valid for a maximum of 3 years and 4 months
• An application can be made to extend this visa for another 2 years
• Details of extending this visa can depend on your personal circumstances such as when did you enter the UK and the amount of investment funds you hold in the UK

You may be able to switch to this visa type from certain visa’s you have held previously
